It would be premature to definitively assess the career of Gregg Popovich, but at his current pace he may be remembered as one of the best 5 professional coaches of all-time. Dallas fans balk, but that's not a stretch. Depending on how long he is able to extend the Spurs championship window, he will certainly be remembered as a trailblazing, elite-class executive. Under the leadership of Popovich, the Spurs have gone beyond the achievement of excellence, they've created a model for excellence. Pop's legacy will extend well beyond San Antonio.
Popovich's ascent toward legend will reach another milestone on March 25. On that date, the storied coach will be inducted into the Indian Basketball Hall of Fame. Good on him, we say.
